High Quality Soaps

We use soap every day and often take it for granted, rarely considering how it is made or what ingredients go into making it. Soap is just one of those necessities of life and basically all we know about it is that it cleans our skin. More times that not, the type of soap we purchase is influenced by commercials we watch on television or by ads we see in magazines. What many people do not realize is the soap they use on their bodies every day is technically a detergent and not a true soap. Visit Dubai Business website to learn more about natural skincare products.

According to the FDA, “Most body cleansers on the market today are actually synthetic detergent products… Some of these detergent products are actually marketed as “soap” but are not true soap in the common and legal definition of the word.”

True soap is made by mixing an acid and a base together. Although the word “acid” sounds ominous, in the case of soap making it is typically a combination of various vegetable oils and butters such as cocoa butter and shea butter. The base is lye, produced by mixing sodium hydroxide with water. When the oils and butters are combined with the lye, a process occurs known as saponification. Once the saponification process is complete, you have soap.

During saponification glycerin is produced as a natural byproduct of the process. Many commercial soap manufacturers use special machines to remove the glycerin from the soap they make. People who make their own handmade soap rarely, if ever, attempt to remove the glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant and attracts moisture to the skin. It is better left in the soap than removed.

People who use homemade soaps say it is gentler on their skin than commercial soap. This may be true because handmade soap, when made right, is more natural and less likely to strip the natural oils from the skin, unlike many of the body cleansers on the market that are technically detergents.

Learning how to make handmade soap is not difficult. It does, however, require knowledge of the process and safety precautions prior to attempting to make your own soap. There are many homemade soap recipes on the internet and soap making kits to get you started once you know the basics.

A soap business plan is easy for a small scale business start-up. If you just want to turn your hobby soap making into a business, that’s a great way to make some profits.

There is a big difference in making soap as a hobby and marketing soap for profit.

The real plus is that a soap business requires so little investment to start that there’s almost no risk of losing much. Now if you choose to build a factory and start big, good luck. Even if you wish to grow a large soap business, why not start small and learn?

Start by learning to make high quality soap. Learn what you like yourself by trying many different products. Buy lots of soap as market research. You’ll quickly see what other soap makers are doing. How does the soap work? Does it feel creamy or drying? Does it really last well or just melt away? Is it well cured? Do you like the scents? The colors? How about the packaging? Did you get any marketing materials? Learn anything there?

Now make a lot of soap. Try it out. Give it away. Try different methods for molding the soap. Try different scents. Does it take much more scent to get a good smell than the books say? Try to develop your own unique soap.

Make soap that’s unlike your competition so your customers come right back to you. Consider making soap scented just with natural scents. Maybe you can use organic ingredients. Or make milk soap. Use regional themes. In some way make your soap designs unique to you.

In order to create homemade cosmetics you will need a number of special supplies and accessories in Dubai which will make the process of making such cosmetics easier and more pleasant. In fact you may need only two tools such as mixer and electronic scales. But we always want our creativity process to be aesthetic and convenient, right? To learn more about homemade cosmetics in Dubai, I advice you to check Dubai City Guide website for details information.

You will need beakers or graded cups with spouts made of glass. They are used to measure the exact liquid volume. It is very convenient to measure water, hydrosols or liquid vegetable oils for aqueous phase of cream in them. They can be of different volume.

Laboratory cups. They are used for heating of liquids, tentative measuring of liquids, etc. Glasses are produced with the scale, which means the approximate capacity. They are very convenient in heating of the aqueous phase of the cream.

Pasteur pipette is a very handy thing for measuring of oils and active ingredients. They are graded and have different capacities.

One of the most convenient things in which liquids can be stored is a flask. Flasks are used for storing of various chemicals. They have wide-neck and ground stopper without grading. They are often used by chemists, but we can use these flasks for various needs. We can store there massage oils, homemade herbal macerate.

Dark brown glass is perfect for protection of plant and essential oils from light because they are extremely sensitive to it. You can make different extracts and tinctures in them. Also it is nice way for storage of natural perfumes. Homemade cream can be perfectly stored in this flask, because it is very convenient to get a portion of it through the wide neck with the help of glass spatula. Just do not forget to stick a label with the name of the cream and the date of its preparation on the flask! We advise you to buy several flasks of different capacities in order not to return in the store again and again when it is needed.

Also you will need transparent flasks with wide neck. They are not suitable for storage of oils but they are perfect for preparation of macerate with solar method. It is considered to be one of the best ways of preparation of macerate. The process is simple. The flask with herbs is poured with the oil and kept on the sun. The oil is being warmed and filled with the energy of sun and becomes even more beneficial and intense.

Weighing cups are cups made of glass and having a stopper. They are meant for weighing and storage of substances and liquids. You can also use them for storage of different balms and medical ointments. Creams, facial masks, dry extracts and fruit powders are perfectly protected from moisture while stored in such cups.

You will definitely need laboratory funnels which are also made of glass. They are mostly used for liquid transfusion. It is a really necessary thing when you need to pour the oily substance (intended for the face or body massage) into a bottle with a narrow neck. They are also irreplaceable when you need to strain tinctures or macerates. To do this you will need to put a filter paper or a coffee filter into the funnel. That is why it is better to have a lot of funnels of different sizes.

Also you will need a special spatula that is made of glass. It is perfect for mixing of emulsions and you can easily get the needed portion of cream out of the bottle or a flask. Round tip is perfect for ointments and balms.

Porcelain bowl and a spoon is what you also need in order to make the process of heating of liquids easier. It is also perfect for mixing of clay masks and body scrubs.

Selling handmade soap is so much easier if the products aren’t just like everybody trying to sell soap. Let’s face it, natural soap is everywhere. Make something truly superior and with looks and feel to match and you’re on your way. On your way to more sales and profits that is. Here’s how to get going.

Handcrafted soap sells partly for the look. See, it’s a crafted object that can be a thing of beauty. If it looks unique, it is unique. Think about tricky marbled colors. Think about bevelled edges and even unique handcrafted packaging. That’s the ticket… a look that’s just yours and better than the next soap maker has. Here’s the other big seller…

How do you know what scents sell??? Good question. Funny thing is… everybody doesn’t like the same thing. But, most sniffers like certain smells. See, many people like the more subtle smells. However, some peoples sense of smell is so weak, they can only smell really strong odors. Offer selections that are unique blends and many people will return just for the special smells.

The way you design and produce products probably is different from anybody else. Don’t fail to tell your story. Tell it with words and pictures too. A picture is worth a thousand words, so make sure you capture your processes and your work place in picture form.

What about personal packaging for parties like weddings or birthdays? Develop the ability to produce unique packages and you can set your produce apart and do what no one else can. Think what you would have if you could stamp soap with unique designs so every small batch looked different. What if every bar was different? Think you could do it? Why not?

Wilder how??? How about wild colors? Forget white soap. Even tan soap is bland. Maybe unique molds too for unique shapes? How about something outrageous like organic ingredients at the same price as everybody else sells their bland brands? Could it be done? Betcha it could…

Set your soap apart and you’ll be selling handmade soap in big volumes and building loyalty to you and your craft. Unique soap is the best way to compete with all the bland soap that’s on the market. Build soap that’s the best in feel and the nicest to use and also has unique features. It’s not that hard to do if you know a few tricks.

If you are suffering from a skin condition known as eczema on your body, it could be due to just a simple cause. Although eczema could possibly be caused by many triggers, the cause could be a simple one and it is staring at you right in your face every single day. Your soap. Click Here to Learn more about best natural soaps in Dubai.

Many people are suffering from eczema and sensitized skin conditions due to oxidized linalool in commercial soaps without knowing it. The soap, body shampoo, bath gels or bath cremes that you are using in your shower or bath daily could be the main culprit that is causing your eczema. A simple test would be, to stop using it, and see if your eczema improves.

As an alternative, replace the commercial soap that you are using with handmade natural soap. I must emphasize here, that handmade soaps are made very differently from commercial soaps! Handmade soaps contain natural ingredients from herbs, essential oils and natural plants, while commercial soaps may contain harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances so that it can be mass produced at a very low cost.

Synthetic fragrance ingredients commonly used in soaps, shampoos and conditioners are frequent causes of eczema. One of the main substances that causes the allergy is oxidized linalool, which is widely used in fragrance ingredients in many products around us, such as perfumed cleansers, washing liquids and household detergents that can be bought in the nearest supermarkets. Linalool breaks down when it is exposed to oxygen, which happens when the packaging of the soap or bottle of cleansing liquid is opened.

Many people can still shower with bath gels that contain linalool without developing or experiencing any allergies, but the risk increases with increased frequency of exposure and contact. Other substances that can cause contact allergy include various perfumes and preservatives.

One of the ways that you can test and see if your eczema is attributed to the soaps, bath cremes, detergents, shampoo or conditioners that you are using, is to stop using it completely, product by product. For example, if you are suffering from eczema on your back, stop using your usual soap or shower gel for a few weeks. If your eczema improves within a few weeks of stopping the use of your usual commercial soap, it is then confirmed that your eczema was caused by the soap. However, if it persists, there could be other eczema triggers that is causing you the allergy. Try out the “stop usage” test with your other shampoo and conditioners to find out which one is the culprit.

Shelf life of handmade cosmetics is one of the main questions if you finally decided to make your own natural cream. How long can it be stored containing preservatives or without them? Let’s make it clear. In order to prolong the shelf life of creams the following ingredients are added:

  • antioxidants (vitamin E, rosemary essence) for protection of oils from rancidity;
  • natural preservatives (essential oils, Monarda, propolis, etc.) are used in order to reduce the dose of standard preservatives;
  • ordinary preservatives – patented mixtures or official names of manufacturing companies which are meant for protection of your cream from bacteria, mold and germs.

If you are making a cosmetic product without any preservatives then it can be stored in fridge for about a week. It is very convenient to make small portions of cream which you use often or if you just want to test it.

Natural preservatives are familiar to everyone. Despite the fact that these substances are not considered to be preservatives, they can prolong the shelf life of creams. It happens because they have an antibacterial effect. Essential oils that can also refer to natural preservatives can only slow down the process of proliferation of bacteria. That is why such cosmetics can be stored no longer than one week in the fridge. It may be stored longer but we can’t experiment on our skin to prove this suggestion.

There are some nuances as for the shelf life of handmade cosmetics with preservatives. It should be noted that the maximum shelf life of such creams is not more than one year (on condition that you use official preservatives or its mixtures). It can be explained by the fact that such cosmetics contain only natural oils which go rancid very quickly and due to this the shelf life lasts from three months to a year once you have opened the package. That is why natural oils are used in manufactured cosmetics in the minimal amount. Mineral oils are used instead of them because their shelf life is almost unlimited.

The more stable oils it contains (almond, jojoba, limnantes alba, vegetable triglycerides, etc.) the longer the shelf life is.

Oils which you add into your handmade cream should be fresh. Don’t forget that the shelf life is considered not from the date on the package but from the moment you have opened a vial with oil.

So, creams, gels, fluids should be stored in glass bottles or vials in the fridge for about six months. To get the cream out of the bottle you should use special spatula. Be sure that it is clean. Creams made of oils can be stored just in the bathroom. In some creams, with the high percentage of input of liquid assets, a slight detachment of water part is possible.

Don’t worry because you can stir the cream with a spatula and its texture will be restored. All the creams that contain hydrosol should be stored in the fridge. If the refrigerator is modern then everything is fine and you can store your handmade cosmetics there. In case if the refrigerator is an old one you should be careful because old models often have excessive humidity and because of this fact your handmade cosmetics can be spoiled very quickly.

All these tips will help you to make wonderful creams which can be stored for a long time. Just keep them in mind and you will achieve success!

Discover the white tea benefits! This tea comes from the buds and young leaves of the Camelia sinuses plant, grown in China. There are four main varieties of white tea: Silver Needle, (Bai Hao Yinzhen), White Peony, (Bai Mudan), Long life eyebrow, (Shou Mei) and Tribute Eyebrow, (Gong Mei). Find more information Here.

The most popular and finest of these is the Silver Needle, (Bai Hao Yinzhen), white tea. White tea is a clear liquid, zero calorie, drink. It was the preferred tea of the Chinese royalty. Today, it’s widely available around the world. It has a delicate, light, slightly, sweet flavor.

WHITE TEA BENEFITS FOR SKIN: Anti-bacterial, Contains Antioxidants, High Catechin Content, Protects from UV light

When white tea is used in skin care products, such as soaps, lotions or creams, it can provide numerous benefits! Its antioxidants benefits help reverse the visible signs of aging, (fine lines, wrinkles, discolorations and spots).

The powerful antioxidants combat free radicals that can cause sun damaged skin or, prematurely, aged skin. It protects the skin against UV light, preventing sun damage. It helps dispose of toxic substances, more effectively, cleansing the body from the inside out. The foods you eat and drink can affect the condition of your skin. It’s important to maintain a healthy eating and drinking regiment throughout life.

When white tea is used for making homemade soap, especially with goat milk, it provides an abundance of skin care benefits! This homemade soap contains the benefits of vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K along with antioxidants! It’s a naturally, antibacterial, homemade soap, too! Handmade experts confirm that goat milk is a main ingredient that makes a difference between regular, commercial, soap and a miraculous luxury item! This homemade soap will keep your skin close to its natural pH level, unlike harsh commercial soaps, that can strip the skin’s acid mantle.

This explains the uncomfortable, itchy, tight, feeling of skin that so many people experience, after bathing. This has been the basis, for the claim, that soap should not be used on the face. This concern disappears when using goat milk soap! You can have soft, soothed and moisturized skin with no oily after effects.

If you’re interested in learning how to make soap, yourself, learn from a master soap maker. This will save you time, money and energy. He or she can guide you with, step-by-step, soap making instructions.

You’ll be able to follow homemade soap recipes and make recipes yourself! Learn the best soap making equipment and soap making supplies to use. It may take time and effort through the learning process, but it’s well worth it for the maximum skin care benefits, in the long run!

Beyond colorants and essential or fragrance oils, there are a number of neat things you can add to your homemade soap. One of my favorites is honey (which is a humectant), but there is also milk, glycerin, silk, shea butter, tomato paste, cocoa powder, fruit juice and pulp, dried herbs and flowers, finely chopped oatmeal, cornmeal (for an exfoliating bar), poppy seeds, finely ground coffee beans, beer and wine, citrus zest, berry seeds, yogurt, aloe vera gel, Vitamin E capsule contents (2-3 per pound), seaweed, uncooked adzuki beans or almonds ground into a fine powder, and embedded objects.

In cold process soapmaking, whisk in these additives after you’ve blended to an appropriate trace. For liquids, add at a light trace. For anything you want suspended evenly throughout the bar (oatmeal, seeds), add at a heavy trace or else the additive will sink to the bottom.

As far as milk goes, you can really use any type of milk-cow’s, goat’s, cream, buttermilk, half and half, plain yogurt mixed with water, even powdered milk. Use the milk directly in place of the water your recipe calls for. However, I once used Egg Nog, and it turned dark brown and lost its rich smell. Whatever milk you use, freeze it before you use it. It should be “slushy” when added to the mixture. Milk soaps have a tendency to overheat, as do honey soaps.

Additionally, any time you use alcohol in a recipe, let it go flat or boil it to release the alcohol, then chill it before use. If you don’t even a small 1/2 pound batch will start explosively boiling when the lye is added.

As far as honey goes, add about 1/2 ounce per pound of soap. Be sure to spray the honey measuring spoon with non-stick cooking spray to so you don’t have honey residue sticking to the spoon and altering your measurement.

To embed objects in your soap, put, say, a small plastic toy, rope for soap-on-a-rope, or similar item into the soap mold then pour the soap batter into the mold. Of course, this works best with see-through or glycerin soaps, which are usually “melt and pour” projects-not handmade cold processed soap.

When adding dried herbs or flowers, sprinkle them on top of soap just poured into the mold or stir them in with a whisk right before pouring into the mold. Most herbs will turn brown in your soap over time. Dried herbs often bleed a brown color out into the soap surrounding it as well. Some people find this unsightly, while others feel it is beautiful and a mark of the soap being handmade from natural ingredients.

Soap Making Process

Your first soap making process does not always give you the results you are looking for. A ruined batch of soap also means a loss of time, money and most of all, the ingredients. Doing a test before you proceed with your soap making is very helpful. Just like any activity, natural soap making is a trial and error method.

Below is a list of some common mistakes in the soap making process.

1. Making a huge batch of soap. In business, the motto is start small, think big. This also holds true for your soap making process. There is always a chance that the recipe you have never used before can create problems with your batch of soap. Therefore if you make a huge batch, many of those ingredients will be wasted. Try using two pounds as a safe test size. If it works, then there is a higher chance that your larger batch will come out perfect.

2. Changing multiple ingredients. Experimenting with ingredients in the soap making process is good as you progress in the activity. However at the start, it is preferable for you to use a recipe that has been tried and tested. Refrain from changing more than one ingredient at a time in a recipe if you do not know what each ingredient will add or take away from the soap.

3. Putting in too many additional ingredients. Soap making is indeed a fun activity and as you become familiar with the process, you cannot help but try experimenting with the ingredients. You are free to add whatever fragrance you choose; additives such as olive oil, essential oils, sodium hydroxide and coloring.

However, sometimes, adding too many ingredients can become a disaster, as it can completely ruin your soap. For example, if you use too much fragrance in your soap, the fragrance will thin out the product and it will be impossible to repair the damage.

4. Lack of patience. The soap making process does not end within an hour after your soaps are done. Soap is best when you allow ample time for the formulations to sit. Natural ingredients could take a few months if they are not combined at the right temperature.

You can label your soap by batches and number and check every now and then to make sure that they are still stable. Note how long the fragrance lasts and check to see if your soap shrinks from the wrapper.

5. Not writing down soap making instructions. The more you make soap, the basics will start to become very simple and you can do it automatically. However do not think that you can remember everything, especially when you start making many different kinds of soaps. Write it down and keep a journal that you can check out every now and then.

You may even wish to separate your work into different categories such as liquid soap, or solid, whether you used a hot process and even compile lists of your soap supplies. After all, soap making is not the only activity you do around the house. This way, you will have a fantastic resource, that you can refer to anytime you need it.

6. Putting in fragrance without testing. You often make changes in your soap recipe and mostly on the fragrance. Fragrance oils are just one aspect of the basic elements of your soap and experimenting with them can be a lot of fun.

However if you are not sure about what the fragrance can do to your soap, it is best to test it first. Test the fragrance oil in a small batch of soap before you decide to add it to your larger batch. Essential oils are expensive yet provide a beautiful scent to your natural soap, so be careful and do not forget to keep instructions for yourself. Soon you will have some great soaps that will not only smell terrific but provide effective skin care too.

Selling handmade soap

Selling handmade soap may be one of the most popular ways to begin a home business. After all, turning a fun hobby into a business has broad appeal. What does it take to get started and what are the chances for success?

Soap business start-up in Dubai involves all the steps of any other manufacturing and marketing company. The real attraction lies in being able to do that on a really small scale at a really low investment. That and the whole production process could hardly be simpler.

To begin you must master the whole production process. Maybe “master” is too strong a term, but at least you must be building superior products before you even consider selling what you make. Often aspiring soap business owners neglect this ground rule and try to sell what could charitably be called “junk.” Please don’t do that.

Once you have the soap making part down, you must be concerned with avenues for moving some soap. Possible outlets are many. One of the most obvious first thoughts drifts to the Internet. Only rookies think selling on the Internet is easy. It is not.

See, wherever you market you must deal with competition. And not just competition from other soap makers, of which there are far too many on the Internet. You must also compete for just the attention of potential customers. How can you catch their eye just for a few seconds? Not too easy on the computer world. Try it if you like. It is no place to start.

Better places to start are local venues. Think in terms of gift shops, spas, health food stores or better yet, local shows of some sort. Craft fairs, art shows and the like are obvious places to start.

After all, you just need a start. Getting a few initial customers puts you on your way. How’s that?

Business thrives on repeat sales to existing customers. Getting a new customer is the hardest part of marketing as well as the most expensive.

If you got your product right to start with, repeat sales should be no struggle. See, a simple brochure or a little catalog and you’re on your way to more sales than you can deal with. It’s getting customers to start that is the struggle.

The Internet makes great sense as a follow-up tool. Your traffic comes from your off-line efforts, not just from fighting the already crowded mobs struggling for on-line attention.

The marketing funnel for selling handmade soap looks like any other marketing plan. It’s an attempt to capture some sales from new customer in the easiest, most efficient manner possible. Then treat the customers right and offer opportunities for customers to buy more of what you have.

One skin care product that is made from natural ingredients and that is so popular recently is charcoal soap. Babies are exceptionally sensitive to the health risks inherent in pesticides and other chemicals. They eat and drink more than adults in relation to their size so their food must be chemical free. Even organic clothing is wise because of the high chemical content in cotton and synthetic fabrics. But skin care is of the utmost importance.

Since their skin is so new and soft, it absorbs chemicals, preservatives and harsh detergents easier and more quickly than an adult’s skin would. Even nationally branded products that are made for babies include large amounts of fragrances, detergents and preservatives, all which can irritate the skin and lungs, can cause skin reactions and are unnecessarily strong for children. And considering how often the baby puts her fingers in her mouth and you can also begin to see the danger of digestion.

Choosing Organic in Dubai – With organic bath and body products specifically made for babies, you can feel confident that you are keeping your baby clean and healthy without subjecting her to harsh chemicals. All-natural baby skin care products use botanicals to accomplish the same purpose as chemicals, without the disturbing side effects.

Her hair will be just as clean when you use organic shampoo. He eyes and skin will be less irritated when you rinse away the shampoo. She will smell just as sweet when you use natural handmade soap, baby bath with natural ingredients and certified organic body care products. And her skin will be just as smooth when you utilize Shea butter and organic body lotion. You can rest easy that her skin will not have a reaction and she will not be in any danger of ingesting residual chemicals as she sucks her fingers and toes.

Natural skin care products also addresses sensitive skin issues. The longer she avoids products that trigger sensitive skin irritations, she stronger and more resilient her skin will be. There is no need to try endless products, trying to determine the trigger for her sensitive issue. Instead choose purely organic and avoid sensitivity issues entirely.

Organic skin care products do more than provide peace of mind. You have given her a healthy start during her formative years. As your toddler grows, you can forgo worrying if she accidentally guzzles the bottle of shampoo or chews on the bar of soap. You have set the stage for a life-long use of natural, safe and chemical free pro.

Research has shown that goat milk soap, when properly made, has a pH level close to that of your own skin and that it contains vitamins and other skin nourishing nutrients. The reason that it is beneficial in the treatment of acne is that the goat milk soap contains an acidic property which helps neutralize the bacteria while still allowing your skin to retain its moisture.

Goat milk soap for acne treatment can be handmade at home, using the cold process of soap making. This involves mixing lye and water with fat or oil, and adding this to the cold goat milk. For acne problems, using oils – palm oil, olive oil and coconut oil – in the soap will give it a moisturizing feeling.

Once the soap mixture has been blended to trace, you can add fragrance oils or essential oils for scenting the goat milk soap. The soap is then poured into a mold to let it set, and after it has been cut into bars it is left to be cured for around 3 weeks.

Another way to make your own goat milk soap is to use the melt and pour method, where you buy the glycerin soap base instead of having to start from scratch with the lye solution. The soap base is melted and the goat milk is added, again with scented oils for fragrance.

As well as using goat milk soap for acne prevention or treatment, it can also be used to soothe other skin problems and is great for using on sensitive skin. Easy recipes for goat milk soap for acne, either using the cold process or melt and pour methods, are widely available and come in all shapes and quantities. If you are going to buy goat milk soap for acne problems, look for a genuine homemade soap and make sure it doesn’t have any unwanted additives.

Marie Ackland – Soap making was originally a hobby of mine that gave me great pleasure, theres something quite satisfying about creating from scratch a beautifully scented bar of soap.

It then turned into a full time passion, creating wonderful soap for family and friends to enjoy. When a friend suggested I take some along to a local craft fair, which I did and from that day on I never looked back. I now have a great soap business which makes a healthy profit and gives me great satisfaction.

Psoriasis is not an easy condition to cure. There are many natural treatments that are very helpful in managing psoriasis, such as using products that contain natural materials.

Lately, psoriasis natural treatment options have become more popular because of the increasing positive appraisal by people who have undergone the natural treatments. Psoriasis is a skin condition that takes place when the person’s skin cells rapidly grow. Similar to eczema, psoriasis is not contagious and dangerous.

This means that it is not fatal and you will not get infected by psoriasis once you have a physical contact with a person that has psoriasis. If you have psoriasis, you must not ignore this medical condition because it could affect your life negatively.

Modern science has discovered and developed some helpful treatments for people with psoriasis. One of them is the light therapy, which has different types of therapies. They are very efficient but a little expensive. However, there is no doubt about the good results it will bring to the patient. If you prefer psoriasis natural treatment, then it would be better because it has more positive results than side effects.

Sunlight is an alternative psoriasis natural treatment for light therapy. It will not cost you any money because it is for free and purely natural. Expose yourself, especially the part of your body that has psoriasis, to sunlight daily. The only negative effect that it could bring you is sunburn if you stay out for too long.

Another effective psoriasis natural treatment is using products that contain natural materials. Some psoriasis cases get worse due to the soaps and detergents they use. Your eczema will definitely get severe if the products are not suitable for your skin. If you want you could try not to use soaps or detergents for some time, and then observe if your skin will have any improvements after.

Keep yourself moisturized through putting some oil, such as tea tree oil, on the part of your body infected by psoriasis. You may also put some Aloe Vera gel to help keep the affected skin moist. Another natural popular remedy is the Dead Sea salt, which is a very good natural remedy not only for psoriasis but also for other skin diseases. Many people with psoriasis have proven the efficiency of Dead Sea salts on their skin. Another effective psoriasis natural treatment is through daily intake of vitamins and herbal medicines that will help strengthen your skin and immune system.

Natural Skin Care

Natural Skin Care – These days many consumers treat synthetic ingredients in their skin care as potentially harmful, and so they should. If you are asking yourself whether natural skin care products are the answer to all your skin care problems? The answer is a definite Yes. I have not come across a single skin problem that cannot be addressed equally well using natural skin care products as using any other types.

Admittedly, I’ve only been in practice for just over 20 years, however, so far I have yet to see a skin condition that cannot be treated using a natural approach, excluding of course emergency medical conditions such as severe 3rd degree burns over large parts of the body, etc.

The human skin is the largest organ of the human body. It not only has quite a complex structure, but also performs several life sustaining functions. Using natural skin care products is a good first step in providing the skin with the right nutrients and building materials to retain its health and functionality. Visit Dubai Business website to find the best natural skin care products in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Our skin has many functions, most of which we are unaware of until something goes wrong. They include:

  • Regulation of body temperature;
  • Protection against the elements;
  • Sensation;
  • Excretion;
  • Immunity;
  • Blood storage and
  • Synthesis of Vitamin D.

In summary, these functions provide us with awareness of our surrounding climatic environment, protect us against some of the bacteria and other potentially harmful bugs in our surroundings, allow us to experience touch and feel, eliminate toxins from our body, store blood, and provide the means for our body to obtain vitamin D while protecting our body from the sun’s UV-rays.

Considering these vital functions our skin has to perform, it is no surprise that we need to look after our skin and make sure it is given every opportunity to function properly and remain healthy.

With all the media and news reports warning consumers of the potentially toxic ingredients in many of the commercially available skin care products sold in supermarkets and department stores, this is an easy question to answer.

Firstly, many of the commonly used skin care products contain artificial and/or synthetic ingredients that the body has difficulties in eliminating, and as a result it tends to store these chemicals in its tissues. Research has shown that the accumulation of many of these substances can have serious health effects.

If you are interested in learning more about some of the toxic chemicals used in skin care products, please read the article ” Potentially Toxic Ingredients In Skin Care Products”. It will provide you with much information and research references for you to be able to identify what is in your skin care products and what should not be there.

Natural skin care products do not contain artificial or synthetic ingredients. They should also not contain isolated, concentrated, natural substances, such as parabens (pseudo-natural preservative) and the like, that have been shown to be potentially hazardous.

This is where it starts to get really difficult. You see, many so called natural or organic skin care products are in reality nothing of the kind. Adding a minuscule amount of aloe vera to water does not constitute a holistically natural skin care product. It may be ‘natural’ or even ‘organic’, but it will not be effective and therefore is a waste of your money.

To have an effective aloe vera product for example, it requires at least 10% of the overall content to be aloe vera. Or, the aloe vera needs to be combined with several other active, natural ingredients that are combined to achieve a specific result.

The term ‘Organic’ is another area where consumers are being misled. Adding a single ‘organic’ ingredient and then calling the products ‘organic’, is quite simply wrong. You see the commercials on television and magazines every day… “xyz product contains organic this and organic that”… but no mention is made of the other ingredients that are contained in these products, many of which have been shown to be hazardous to our health.

There is yet another problem with natural skin care products, that is an area of confusion and potentially misleading. Just ask yourself what exactly is “natural”? What is actually meant by the term “natural”?

The word ‘natural’ congers up images of nature – pristine environments that make us feel good. A safe, natural environment that is conducive to health and a sense of wellbeing. Spring water, waterfalls, pristine lakes, a healthy salads, Rainforests, etc., are all images that we perceive as ‘natural’, or in other words ‘good for us’.

The cosmetic industry has ceased on this and is using the word natural to instil in their advertisements a sense of wellbeing and the idea that this product is good for us. Unfortunately, one or two natural ingredients does not a natural skin care product make… Far from it, natural skin care products should not contain any ingredients that are not naturally sourced. This brings us to another problem with natural skin care products.

A naturally sourced ingredient, such as the various forms of paraben, may still be potentially hazardous. Just think about it – would you put arsenic or lead on your skin? No of course you wouldn’t. But, they are natural, so what’s the problem? Natural substances too can also be deadly poisons.

Applying this to skin care products, you might be looking for a product that is natural and contains AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), which we know help to remove dead skin cell layers which in turn helps to remove fine lines and wrinkles, revealing new vibrant skin.

Now, you could buy a product that lists as one of its ingredients AHAs, it might even contain AHA in its name, or you could buy a product that contains a concentrate called papain, which is a natural substance from the Papaya fruit. So, yes papain is natural and yes this product could, depending on other ingredients, be called a natural skin care product. However, papain is a concentrate and as such many people have experienced side effects because the papain is present in too high a concentration for some people.

A truly, holistically natural skin care product would not contain papain as an extract. Rather it would contain Papaya fruit itself. You see, the whole fruit still contains papain, however, it also contains other ingredients in the papaya that modify the excessively strong effect of the papain. Choosing such a product will, at least to a large extent, reduce any potential side effects from the papain, because the product is naturally balanced and contains naturally balanced ingredients that will benefit your skin rather than burn it.

The results of removing fine lines and wrinkles may take a little longer, but are overall better and you reduce the chance of ‘burning’ your skin with a concentrated AHA. Remember AHA stands for alpha hydroxy acid and we all know acids burn our skin.

Most people who purchase our natural skin care products do not read the directions and use our products the same way that they have been using their previous brand. This however, may or may not be the correct way to use our products.

Properly formulated products contain ingredients in sufficiently high quantities to achieve a desired effect if used in accordance with the product’s directions. Using more does not mean better or quicker results, rather using too much can have adverse effects or no more effect than the lesser quantity.

Conversely, if for example, the product’s directions suggest that it be used 2 or 3 times a day using it merely once is not likely to produce the desired effect in most cases.

This is obvious when we think about taking medicine. We read the directions and take the drugs, herbs, or what ever, as prescribed and hopefully we get the desired result.

So why is it that we do this when it comes to taking medicine, but ignore it (for the most part) when it comes to using skin care products or other personal care products?

Reading the instructions carefully and following them ensures that a) you are not wasting your money, and b) you should get the desired results.

Herbs, essential oils and most of the other ingredients that you’ll find in our range of products have a medicinal actions and are included for a specific purpose, that is, the formulations that make up our various products were originally designed to treat particular skin health issues. This intent, though we do not actively promote this, continues to this day.

As you probably know, there are three basic skin types; Normal, Oily and Dry. In addition, your skin may also be sensitive, prone to allergic reactions or under the influence of hormonal changes that are taking place in your body. The herbs and essential oils in our products are specifically chosen to normalize the skin given one of the skin types. The herbs and essential oils will have a therapeutic effect on the skin’s structure and function in order to provide an environment under which your skin will start to function normally again.

Similarly this is relevant for sensitive skin that tends to react inappropriately to different stimuli. It is possible, for example, that an individual with sensitive skin who is using our products for the first time, will experience a reaction which they may see as being a negative reaction.

This however, may well be totally the opposite to what is actually taking place. You see, in order for your skin’s health to improve, it has to change. This change may appear at first as a worsening of a particular skin issue and this will understandably be interpreted as a negative.

Under normal circumstances however, this type of reaction, if the products are continued with, will only last for a few days and following this time the skin will improve and end up much healthier. This process is sometimes referred to as ‘A healing crisis’, and is actually a good thing to happen. It signifies that the ingredients are doing what they are supposed to, that is they are repairing and normalizing the skin’s functions. This is a normal and in fact good reaction.

Obviously there are times when a new product may actually cause a bad skin reaction. Unfortunately a bad reaction often appears very similarly to a good reaction. So how can you tell the difference and what should you do?

The first thing to do when ever you purchase a new skin or personal care product is to test it to see if you have any adverse reactions to this product. Below is a detailed outline and links that will provide you with all the information you need to test a new product in order to determine whether or not your skin is going to react adversely to it or not.

Another important aspect to using any skin care, personal care or cosmetic products, whether they are natural or otherwise, is to test the products first in order to see if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

To do this, follow the steps described in our article “The Skin Patch Test”, which will provide you with a simple, yet effective step-by-step test that you can easily do at home over a 24 hour period, to reasonably ensure that you will not experience major adverse reactions to the ingredients in products you want to use on your face, or anywhere else on your body. This test is simple and very effective.

Finally, before you purchase a product, look at the ingredients list and see if the ingredients are easily recognisable. As a rule of Thumb, if the ingredients are easily recognizable it is more likely that the ingredients are of a natural source and have not been excessively modified. If on the other hand you need a chemistry degree to understand what the ingredient is, it is likely not to be a holistically-natural ingredient. It may still be a natural ingredient, but it is likely that it has been isolated and is used in a concentrated, possibly even synthetic form.

For the most part, most ‘natural skin care products’ widely available in the market place are far from natural or that matter organic. Most have minimal quantities of some natural ingredient in an otherwise non-natural product and are referring to the one natural ingredient in the product, rather than the nature of the product itself.

Hopefully this article will clarify some of the confusion that exists about what is a natural skin care product and what is not, help you to choose natural skin care products that will actually live up to your expectations, and clarify why using natural skin care products is a healthier choice.

Skin Care Products

Not all skin problems can be treated using some topical application – Many diseases such as measles, chickenpox, herpes and many more are diseases, which as part of their symptomatology, have a skin component. To think that using natural skin care products in Dubai or for that matter a synthetically formulated skin care product could treat this types of conditions is ludicrous.

Sure, combine your internal medication with a good quality, natural skin care product to address the itching, irritation and redness, etc., but don’t think for one moment that a skin care products is going to effect the chickenpox virus or any other infectious disease.

Similarly, skin problems just like any other long-term disorder have a multi-faceted complexity and require a systemic approach to treatment.

If on the other hand we are simply referring to dry, oily, mature or sensitive skin, than there is no need for synthetic chemicals. Nor is this the case in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis or similar conditions, unless they are of a genetic origin – then there is very little that can be done other than symptom control, which natural skin care products can do just as well as any synthetic equivalent, if not better.

You see most mass-produced skin care products, whether they are 100% natural skin care products or have a synthetic component, will not work on any condition that has an internal disease process involved. For example a hormonal imbalance may cause acne. This acne will persist until the hormonal imbalance is corrected.

Similarly, viral infections can cause skin rashes and they will persist until the viral infection has been addressed. Again, sure use a topical ointment or cream for the rash and yes, make sure it is a natural skin care product, because you don’t need to introduce more chemicals into the body, which it may have difficulty in utilising and/or eliminating.

Firstly, 100% natural skin care products are really not hard to find. There are dozens of companies that produce good quality, natural skin care products and they can be found using Yahoo, MSN or Google without much difficulty. Yes, they can be expensive, but they are no more expensive than similar, products containing synthetic chemicals produced by major brands such as L’Oreal, Lancôme, and others. In fact, most are a lot less costly.

Secondly, just because a natural skin care product has a natural preservative does not make them any more expensive. I should know, as we make a large range of natural skin care products and have done so for over 20 years. We supply customers all over the world, as well as our own patients, and over 80% of our customers have been long-term customers. Some of our products use natural preservatives such as Grape seed Oil or Wheat Germ Oil and neither of these oils are very pricey.

In addition, Essential oils are some of the most powerful antiseptic substances around, some are also have powerful antibiotic properties and if used correctly, they will preserve natural skin care products for at least 2 to 3 years without any trouble. Furthermore, many of our natural skin care and personal care product contain herbal extracts. Herbal extracts are by nature alcoholic and alcohol is a very good preservative. So you see, good quality natural skin care products do not need to have preservatives (synthetic ones) added to them.

Sure, we all know that nature produces powerful substances and some of these are the most potent killers if we are exposed to them – strychnine is an example that comes to mine, but any substance found in nature has the potential to create problems, some more serious than other. Why else would herbalist have to be trained for years if you could take any old tea and drink it to your heart’s content?

Many people have allergies to all sorts of chemicals. However, that is not the product’s fault, these people unfortunately for them have a hypersensitivity to particular substances and their immune system needs to be treated.

DON’T use a synthetic substitute – the natural substances are just as powerful as synthetic chemicals, why do you think is it that modern medicine still uses morphine-based drugs to treat severe pain? – there is no synthetic substitute that is more powerful a pain killer.

Natural skin care products in Dubai that have been properly formulated to target a specific skin care need, are safer, usually more effective and cost no more than their synthetic counter parts.
